Cost transformation when energy stays expensive: what plants actually did
Held on Thursday, September 10, 2026

With Robert Hayes and Emily Carter
About this session
Energy is no longer a line item a plant can wait out. This session walks through what operations teams did on the floor when power and gas prices settled at a permanently higher level: which measures paid back inside a year, which needed capital, and which turned out to be accounting rather than improvement.
Built on two or three real plant cases, with the client’s numbers on screen and the client present. No product pitches, and no measures that only work with a corporate budget behind them.
What you take away
- A ranked list of measures by payback, with the ones that fail most often
- How to put energy per unit into daily management so it moves with production, not with the invoice
- How to present energy savings so an auditor, a CFO or an awards jury accepts them
Who it is for
Plant heads, opex leaders and CFOs of manufacturing groups, in any country where energy costs reset upward.
Speakers

Emily manages energy and emissions reporting for three cement plants and built the monthly energy review used by plant managers.
Format
One speaker, one real case, forty-five minutes, then fifteen minutes for your questions. Sessions are free and open to everyone; recordings and materials go to members, and membership is free.
