Institute of Directors India

The Institute of Directors (IOD), India was established in 1990 under the Societies Registration Act as a professional body for corporate directors. Alongside director training such as its Masterclass for Directors, board assessment and governance advisory, it instituted the Golden Peacock Awards in 1991 to recognize corporate excellence. IOD invites professionals to become awards assessors, publishes research and runs national and global events and conventions on leadership and governance. It has chapters in cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.
