What is FourJaw?
FourJaw is a Sheffield, UK company founded in 2020 as a spinout from the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. Its MachineLink hardware connects to machines of any age or type without PLC integration and records when they run, idle or stop, while operator tablets capture the reasons for lost time. The software reports OEE, downtime, unused capacity and energy consumption, and sends operational alerts. FourJaw states that more than half of its customers are SME manufacturers, with others being large global groups in aerospace, automotive, metal products, food production, medical devices and construction products.
